Robert Calcagno is the Chief Executive Officer of the Oceanographic Institute, Foundation Albert I, Prince of Monaco. This includes the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and the Home of the Oceans in Paris.

Previously Minister for Environment, Public Works and Urban Development and Senior Advisor to H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco. He is strongly committed to the cause of the oceans, frequently organises international meetings on sustainable ocean management, Marine Protected Areas, deep sea preservation or shark protection. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation Prince Albert II of Monaco and of the World Ocean Network.
